| If you receive a
suspected scam message from someone using a different email
address, please forward the message to us at
info@bayequest.com. We'll add the scammer to our mail
filters and post the address here. Once an email address is
added to our filters anyone using that address will be blocked
from contacting BAEN advertisers via the "send email to
advertiser" links on our site (this is why scammers constantly
change their email addresses). However this will not stop the
scammer from emailing you directly if he has your address from
prior correspondence, or if you include your email address in
your ad text. If you never want to hear from these guys,
add their email addresses to your own private email filters.
DO NOT report BAENmail
messages as spam to your ISP, because they will block BAEN's
mailserver and not the spammer! DO report the
scammer to his own email service provider so they can close
his email account. Example, if the scammer's address is
john@yahoo.com, forward it to abuse@yahoo.com along with a
copy of his message and your comments.

Remember I had emailed you on someone
that had said they would make a purchase and no check for 30+
days? The email was JdawnJdawn from aol.com. A week after I sent you
that email I received a check in an envelope from UPS. The UPS
account # did not exist. The address was ambiguous. It came
from New Jersey (per tracking record). The check was from a
CMC Events INC in Los Angeles drawn on Bank Of The West. It
was for a strange amount 2,707.19 which was not the sale
amount. I phoned the Bank of The West in Los Angeles.
They said yes this is a NO GOOD check and to please fax it to them.
It is known that checks from CMC Events Inc are bogus. The
signature was also stamped, not hand written.

There is a horse trailer on
equine hits that I think people should know is a scam. I was
looking for a trailer and came across a 2007 Elite 3H w/LQ in
Dallas, Texas for $6800, I knew that this could be tooooo good
of a deal. The name on the page was Elizabeth, so I responded to
the ad, wanting to see more pictures. She emailed me back with
an address so I could go and look at more pictures of this
trailer: http://tinpics.com/a/1g9qo/4; this is the
address that she sent me to. She said that that she worked on a
cruise ship and that her ex-husband, who died two years ago, was
the only one who used it and that she doesnt know anyone who can
used it now. She wanted to use Ebay Vehicle Protection, that way
it would protect the both of us. I wasnt familiar with buying
things on ebay, so I told her that I would be in Dallas the
second weekend in March and could pick the trailer up and put
the money in her hand. She emailed back and said that the
trailer was already at the shipping yard in Gloucester,
Massachuetts. She then started to tell me how Ebay Vehicle
Protection worked and that she already had an account with them.
So, I googled shipping yards in Mass. and started calling them,
no one had a trailer. So, then I emailed her and asked for the
number to the shipping yard and asked for someone on Ebay that I
could contact to make sure everything was on the up and up and
that I would set my own account up on ebay; to make me feel
better. I proceed to do more investigation on this Elizabeth,
and this is what I found out: the phone number on equine hits is
a Texas number, unavailable though, and that there is a
Elizabeth Campbell in Texas but with a different number; called
it---unavailable. I went on ebay and looked up her email
address: elizabeth_campbell21@msn.com, there is no such
person on ebay with that email address. I haven't heard from her
after that. I am still looking for a trailer though I found the
same trailer, 2007 Elite 3H w/LQ, on equine hits. The name now
is Patricia, phone number ending in 2366: which is the number
that I found for an Elizabeth and Andrew Campbell in Dallas,
Texas. Just wanted people to know that this is a SCAM!

I believe we have been the
target of an attempted scam that looks to be targeting
boarding stables. The deal is that a barn would get an
email from a person living someplace out of town inquiring
about boarding their horse for three months while they are
on vacation. Details vague and I also got an almost
exact same email from another named person.
Language a bit strange as if English is not their native
language. Anyway after a few more emails, I got a
check for $3,000 which sounds great BUT then I got an email
saying that I was to send a moneygram to the horse hauler
for $1860 and keep the rest for the three months board.
At this I finally figured out the way this scam worked.
I am sure that once I send the money, their check would be
