The purpose
of this section is to direct attention to political action items
affecting the horse community on the local, state and national level,
with a special emphasis on trails access, zoning issues, and
preservation of the rights of equestrians and ranch property owners. Do
you know of a political issue affecting horsemen in your city or county?
Is there a letter writing campaign, public meeting, bill or election
that needs our participation? Please write to info@bayequest.com
and let us know.

Los Altos Hills Town
Ring in Jeopardy - Please sign petition
| The Los Altos Hills Town
Ring was created by the Los Altos Hills Horsemen's
Association (LAHHA)in 1983 to provide a riding ring that
was free for everyone to use. Now the Town of Los Altos
Hills is looking into tearing down the ring and putting up
temporary school buildings, basketball courts, or other
possibilities, any of which could be placed in other
locations. PLEASE HELP US--SIGN OUR PETITION TO KEEP THE
RING, especially if you are a resident of Los Altos Hills,
but even if you're not! Although the ring has become
maintenance-challenged recently, it is still in use, both
by LAHHA for playdays and events, and by people with
backyard pastures or no access to other rings, for
training young horses, kids, etc. We don't want to see the
facility go by the wayside, never to return. WE NEED YOUR
HELP!!
